Two visitors became islanders
One romantic weekend on Amelia Island in 2010 and we were hooked! The wide beaches, the moss-covered oaks, and the quiet rhythm of life was simply captivating. The following year, we were married at The Ritz-Carlton, and we would return year after year. To drink in the ocean views, celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, even a baby-moon. Finally, in 2021 we made our dreams come true. We bought a beach condo with the most amazing ocean views, and became full fledged islanders!

I’m Lizzette, the one behind Best of Amelia Island! I’m a mom, a wife, and a writer, with a Westie dog, and two places I call home: Charlotte, NC and Amelia Island, FL. When I’m not blogging, you’ll find me walking the beach, taking photos, shopping or dining out in Downtown Fernandina Beach.
