  • burlingame

Situated in a lovely house with indoor and garden seating, Burlingame offers a selection of modern American dishes made with the freshest, seasonal ingredients. The atmosphere is relaxed, the food is sophisticated without being fussy and the wine list is terrific. I recommend the beef tenderloin with chimichurri sauce and their amazing shrimp and gritts. And their desserts are not to be missed . My favorite is the lemon pie: a tangy lemon custard with a halo of delicate meringue, topped with fresh blueberry compote and a magical Ritz Cracker crumble!

  • salt

For a truly sophisticated, dining experience we always recommend Salt at The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island. Back in 2011, my husband and I hosted three days of wedding celebrations at the Ritz with amazing dinners catered from Salt, and we’ve been huge fans ever since. I recommend ordering one of their tasting menus with wine accompaniments to enjoy a broad array of flavors and presentations. I recently tried their vegetarian tasting menu and it was out of this world! So fresh, so creative, so beautiful. Dining at Salt is truly a must!

  • Wicked Bao

This insanely popular and delicious fast-casual, Asian Street Food restaurant is named after a fantastic Asian dish made of bite-sized steam buns with various fillings. With a mix of small plates, noodles, rice bowls, and of course, bao, Wicked Bao incorporates bold flavors and authentic family recipes. We always start out with an order of Roti Cannai (Malaysian flatbread with curry sauce) and Sichuan dumplings. And I cannot leave without having my beloved Singapore Style Chili Shrimp. It’s the most amazing combination of fresh, juicy shrimp with sweet and spicy sauce over rice. Oh, and don’t miss out on their seasonal sake sangrias. They are always interesting and refreshing!

  • Ciao Italian Eatery

Located in the heart of downtown Fernandina Beach in a corner building with great views of Centre Street, Ciao is one of our family’s favorite spots. This popular Italian restaurant specializes in authentic cuisine, prepared with fresh ingredients and served in a warm, welcoming environment. With amazing pasta dishes, daily specials and a great wine list, there is something for everyone at Ciao. My favorite dish is the shrimp and scallops Diavolo. Made with local shrimp and fresh diver scallops, fresh tomato sauce and crushed red pepper, this specialty keeps me coming back for more!
