With its wrap around porch, white rocking chairs and beautiful ocean views, Elizabeth Pointe Lodge is big on Southern charm. This 25 room hotel sits right on the dunes, sharing direct access to the beach with their guests (chairs and umbrellas are included.) One of my favorite features is their sweet, little gift shop and library. They carry a great selection of curated items from cookbooks to jewelry by local authors and artisans. Best yet, daily breakfast and evening hors d’ oeuvres with wine and beer are free for guests.

For a wonderful in-town experience, I recommend Amelia Schoolhouse Inn. Set in a meticulously renovated, schoolhouse turned boutique hotel, Amelia Schoolhouse Inn is truly one of a kind. This beautiful 17 room hotel in the heart of Downtown Fernandina Beach offers a pool, a courtyard with putting green, and an up-scale cocktail bar called The Principal’s Office. Best yet, it’s strolling distance to the shops, restaurants, bars and harbor in lovely, Downtown Fernandina Beach.
