Each spring the Omni Amelia Island Resort hosts a culinary contest for elite chefs from around the nation. The chefs go out to sea to catch fresh fish, then return to the resort to transform their fresh catch into signature dishes that double as contest entries and a weekend -long feast for attendees. This amazing food-battle/culinary festival takes place on the lush grounds of the Omni Amelia Island Resort, where guests are surrounded by moss-draped oaks, sand dunes and sea.

Isle of eight flags shrimp festival
The Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival is a wonderful celebration of island culture and history which credits Amelia Island as the birth place of the modern shrimping industry. Held yearly during our gorgeous spring season, the festival offers the freshest shrimp and seafood dishes, a Fine Arts and Crafts Show, antiques vendors, live music and entertainment and more. It’s a family-friendly event that showcases our beautiful Downtown and Harbor and the island’s warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Sprouting Project Dinner- Monthly
The Omni Amelia Island Resort offers a true farm-to-table dinner series called The Sprouting Project. Offered monthly, these dinners includes a tour of the resort's state-of-the-art aquaponic greenhouse, expansive organic gardens, the barrel room and large collection of beehives- while guest enjoy passed bites and harvest inspired cocktails, all before a five-course chef inspired dinner. Each monthly event has a unique theme and showcases both the creativity and culture of the Omni’s premiere chefs, in a tranquil, outdoor setting.
